Rules for 2008/09

GENERAL

  1. The competition will be held over 42 weeks from Saturday August 16th 2008 until Saturday May 30th 2009.  Only games in the Premiership and FA Cup counts towards the competition.
  2. The points awarded to players is the sole responsibility of the competition administrators and their decision is both final and non negotiable.
  3. Managers are deemed to have accepted the above rules by submitting an entry into the competition.
  4. The Fantasy week runs from Tuesday through to the following Monday.

TEAM SELECTION

  1. Managers choose a team from the players list published on this web site up to a maximum value of £50m.
  2. Managers may chose a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 formation (i.e. 1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 3 midfielders and 3 strikers or 1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 strikers).
  3. Managers can change the formation during the season by using their transfers. The maximum value of the team cannot exceed £50m.
  4. There is no limit on the number of players you can select from one Premiership club.
  5. Teams must be emailed by Friday August 15th 2008 to be entered into the competition.

TRANSFERS

  1. Managers will be allowed a maximum 30 transfers in the season and four in any single week. Transfers will not be actioned where a manager is not up to date with his subs payments.
  2. Each team will be deducted 5 points for every transfer made during the course of the season.
  3. The transfer deadline is midnight each Friday with players taking their place in the team from the following Tuesday.
  4. It is the Managers responsibility to ensure the total value of the team does not exceed £50m. If a set of transfers takes the value over £50m, ALL of the transfers will be null and void.
  5. There is no limit on the number of "free" transfers to enable new players entering the League to be selected, providing these transfers are received by Friday August 15.

SUBS & PRIZES

  1. Entry costs are £41 per season per team. Subs can be paid in three installments, and are due no later than:
    • 1st Installment (£14) – October 31st 2008
    • 2nd Installment  (£14) – January 30th 2009
    • 3rd Installment (£13) – May 1st 2009
  2. The costs of hosting the web site (£60 for 2008/09) will be paid from the accumulated prize fund.  There will be a one-off deduction of £35.50 from the prize fund to recover unpaid subs from 2006/07.  All of the remaining money will be paid out as prize money.
  3. An up to date summary of the subs collected and prize money awarded will be available on the web site.
  4. Prizes will be awarded to the top performing teams in both the season long competition, and in nine monthly competitions.
  5. The value of the prize money will be published on the web site after all entries have been received.

    2. DEFENDERS/GOALKEEPERS:
      1. Goals conceded -1
      2. Clean Sheet (Full match) +4
      3. Clean Sheet (Part match) +2
      4. Penalty Save +5
  2. Goals scored, misses and saves in Penalty shoot outs COUNT but goalkeepers do not lose points for goals conceded.
  3. Points will be published on this site and advised regularly by email to all team managers.
